Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shadab Khan turned 23 on Monday (October 4) and birthday wishes poured in from different quarters. Making his debut in March 2017, Shadab didn’t take long in becoming the vital cog of the team. While the leg-spinner can choke runs in the middle runs, his happy knack of taking wickets makes him even more effective. Not to forget, he’s a handy batter lower down the order alongside being a gun fielder.

He’s even the vice-captain of the limited-overs team. With Shadab being such a significant figure in Pakistan cricket, several prominent members of cricket fraternity also extended greetings on his special day. While many of Shadab’s teammate wished him on social media, Naseem Shah’s post garnered maximum attention.

“Wishing you a happy, healthy, exceptionally rocking birthday today and always. Keep shining! @76Shadabkhan #birthday #happybirthday #shadabkhan #nt20cup,” wrote the young speedster on Twitter alongside posting a picture with the all-rounder. At the first sight, it might look a regular post. However, the talking point was the fact that Naseem posted a morphed picture.

Not Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi featured in the original picture

Apparently, it wasn’t an original picture and Shadab’s face was edited. Interestingly, the original picture featured none other than Naseem’s fellow pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. As the original snap was already on social media, fans were quick to find out that it’s an edited picture.

The comment section got flooded in no time as fans couldn’t figure out why the 18-year old posted a morphed snap. After all, Shadab and Naseem have played a significant amount of cricket alongside each other.

Meanwhile, Naseem, Shadab, Shaheen, and many other Pakistan cricketers are currently plying their trade in the National T20 Cup 2021. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized the tournament in order to provide its players some preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021. The global tournament will take place in UAE and Oman, and Pakistan would be raring to get their hands on the title for the second time.

For the unversed, the Men in Green got the glory in the 2009 edition of the competition. Although the Babar Azam-led side is studded with several T20 stalwarts, the players need to come together as a unit to make a mark.
