India vs Pakistan. There is a separate ‘feel’ attached to this clash. The fervour and anticipation is always sky high every time India and Pakistan clash on a cricket field, and when they do so on a stage as big as the T20 World Cup, the excitement reaches fever pitch.

And, in the IPL league stage encounter that took place between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 8th October 2021, a fan is seen requesting Rohit Sharma for a couple of tickets for the India vs Pakistan World Cup match.

“Rohit, need 2 tickets for IND vs PAK Please,” read the placard that was held by the fan. You can see the picture of the same below.

Pakistan has never beaten India in the T20 World Cup

India and Pakistan have clashed horns with each other in the T20 World Cup 5 times, and India has come out on top on each and every occasion. The most famous clash between the two sides was during the 2007 T20 World Cup final, where India beat Pakistan in a thrilling contest, winning the summit clash by a narrow margin of 5 runs.

The latest meeting between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup was in the year 2016, during the Super 10s stage of the tournament. And in that match, the Indian side beat Pakistan with 6 wickets to spare.

In fact, a Pakistan business man approached PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and stated that he is ready to give the PCB a blank cheque if Pakistan beats India in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup.

Both India and Pakistan have won the T20 World Cup once. While India won the tournament in the year 2007, Pakistan emerged as the champions in the 2009 edition.
