Michael Vaughan expresses concern over the staging of The Hundred and India-England Test series

Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, cricket is played under closed doors in strict bio-secure bubbles. However, more often than not it is observed that few cases are been found out in the camps, which are affecting the conduct of the tournament and series. Recently after Covid cases were found in the England team, an altogether new side faced Pakistan for the ODI series.

Even now, ahead of the Test series against England, Rishabh Pant has tested positive and wouldn’t be traveling for the warm-up game in Durham. Considering these, Michael Vaughan thus pointed that certain tweaks need to be made to the isolation rules. Vaughan feels that if the restrictions get eased, there will be positive cases and that would affect the series. He took it to Twitter to express his opinions on the same.

“I fear for the 100 & the Indian Test series unless the isolation laws change .. we are bound to have cases as is the case with @RishabhPant17 plus further down the line I fear the Ashes could be hugely affected with players pulling out unless bubbles/quarantine rules change,” a recent tweet from Vaughan read.
