Lalit Bhandari’s career in brief
Bhandari hasn’t played a whole lot of cricket thus far in his career for the Nepal team. Back in August 2018, he made his ODI debut against Netherlands in Amstelveen. In that game, he picked up two wickets of the experienced Ben Cooper and wicketkeeper Scott Edwards. He didn’t complete his quota of 10 overs though, sending down only nine overs.
He also has played three List A matches and a T20, representing Nepal in their game against Marylebone Cricket Club at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. Though he couldn’t get a wicket, he had players like Mahela Jayawardena and Jonathan Trott to rub shoulders with in the opposition. In the one over he bowled, the left-arm fast bowler gave away only five runs.
He also plays for the Nepal Police Club in domestic cricket and has played some crucial roles for his team. He last played a competitive game back in January 2020 against the Army Club in the Manmohan Memorial National One-Day tournament. But in the first match of the event against Prov-2 Nepal, Bhandari picked up three important wickets , giving away only 21 runs.
