Corey Anderson broke the record of fastest ODI ton held by Shahid Afridi of Pakistan previously against  Sri Lanka when he score 100 off 37 balls way back in 1996. Anderson thrashed it by scoring 100 off just 36 balls. He ended up with scoring 131 off 47 balls to record the fastest ODI ton. The feature of his innings was the way he took on the bowlers The ball just seemed to race away to the boundary every time it left his bat. Overall hitting 6 x 4’s and 14 x 6’s. Corey Anderson’s record breaking ODI ton in the larger context got New Zealand to 283 in a 21-over ODI against West Indies in Queenstown.
