New Zealand Cricket announces international schedule for 2021-22 season

New Zealand will get a three-week break after India's tour.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced a busy schedule for it’s Men’s and Women’s cricket team for the 2021-22 season. The Men’s team will get a little bit of a breather after their India tour concludes on December 7 as the home season will commence on January 1, 2022 with the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Currently, Kane Williamson and his men are in the UAE set to face Trans-Tasman rivals Australia in the T20 World Cup Final on November 14.

Soon after the final, they will reach India for three T20Is starting from November 17  and two Test matches starting from November 25. After this tour, they will get a three-week break before Bangladesh series commences at home. The BlackCaps will then tour to Australia for three ODIs and a solitary T20I and then again host the Aussies in a return three-match T20I series.

Between these two tours, South Africa will tour the Kiwi nation for two Tests starting from February 17. New Zealand’s home season is set to end with Netherlands touring the country for a solitary T20I and three One-Day Internationals.

New Zealand Women to face India at home

The schedule for Women’s team has also been released as India is set to tour New Zealand for one T20I and five ODIs ahead of the World Cup. The only T20I will be played on February 9 with the ODIs starting from February 11 even as the tour will conclude on February 24. Indian team will stay on in New Zealand after the ODI series for the 50-Over Women’s World Cup starting on March 7.

January 30: 1st ODI – Optus Stadium, Perth

February 2: 2nd ODI – Blundstone Arena, Hobart

February 5: 3rd ODI – Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney

February 8: Only T20I – Manuka Oval, Canberra

South Africa tour of New Zealand 2022

February 17 – February 21: 1st Test – Hagley Oval, Chrischurch

February 25 – March 1: 2nd Test – Basin Reserve, Wellington

Australia tour of New Zealand 2022

March 17: 1st T20I – Sky Stadium, Wellington

March 18: 2nd T20I – Sky Stadium, Wellington

March 20: 3rd T20I – McLean Park, Napier

Netherlands tour of New Zealand 2022

March 25: Only T20I – Bay Oval, Tauranga

March 29: 1st ODI – University of Otago Oval, Dunedin

April 2: 2nd ODI – Seddon Park, Hamilton

April 4: 3rd ODI – Seddon Park Hamilton
