New Zealand have registered an enormous victory against Australia in the first T20I of the five-match series held in Hagley Oval, Christchurch. Aussie captain Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Kiwi team had a terrible start as they lost their first 3 wickets for only 19 runs. However, Devon Conway played a wonderful knock of 99 runs off 59 balls to take the team to a total of 184/5 in 20 overs. Conway hit 10 fours and 3 sixes in his unbeaten knock.

While chasing this total, Australian batsmen looked completely clueless. They were bowled out for 131 runs losing the match by 53 runs. Ish Sodhi was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand who took 4 wickets for 28 runs.  Devon Conway was awarded player of the match for his glorious knock.
