Harbhajan Singh recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket through a Tweet. The spinner who picked up 417 wickets in 103 Tests, 269 wickets in 236 ODIs, and 25 scalps in 28 T20Is in his career then received a lot of congratulatory wishes from all over the cricketing fraternity. The latest one to join the list is India’s former cricketer Mohammad Kaif.

The spinner has last played a Test match against Sri Lanka in 2015. Whereas he played his last One Day International against South Africa in the same year. Harbhajan’s final game for team India was a T20I against UAE in the 2016 Asia Cup.

Playing for the country, he has been the architect of the team’s victory on various occasions. Kaif took it to his official Twitter account and shared a picture with Singh to wish him on his retirement. He termed the spinner as the greatest match-winner for India as he has been a part of some historic victories.

Mohammad Kaif shares a special message for Harbhajan Singh

“There was never a dull moment on the field, or in the dressing room when he was around. Greatest Test win 2001, World T20 title and Wankhede World Cup, Harbhajan always the match-winner. Waiting for your next big announcement Brother. @harbhajan_singh,” Kaif’s Tweet read.

Earlier, the spinner had taken it to his official Twitter account to make the announcement of his retirement. He thanked everybody who was a part of his journey and stated that cricket has given him everything.

“All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable. My heartfelt thank you 🙏 Grateful https://youtu.be/9Xn0oAeJ7v8,” Singh had written in his Tweet.

India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar who has played alongside Singh also came forward to wish him. “What a wonderful and fulfilling career, Bhajji! I first met you at India nets in ’95-over the years, we have been part of wonderful memories. You have been a great team man, playing with all your heart,” Tendulkar wrote in his Tweet.
