India cricketer Dinesh Karthik has been the highlight of the ongoing English summer. His commentary and the analysis of the game was a breath of fresh air for the fans and time and again, the wicketkeeper-batsman got a lot of love on social media for the same. His time with the Sky Sports for this season ended recently and Karthik also left for home on Thursday (September 2).

Karthik’s humour and the camaraderie with his colleagues Michael Atherton, Nasser Hussain, Isa Guha and many others during this period was also worth watching. Interestingly, he also became the weatherman for the Indian fans during the World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton and in the ongoing series between England and India.

Coming back to Dinesh Karthik leaving England, the 36-year-old hilariously posted a picture of his suitcases before leaving and quoted it as ‘Not 17’. For the unversed, Karthik’s dressing during the English summer was also the talking point and during the third Test, a video was made on the same as Michael Atherton stated that the cricketer came with 17 suitcases and 30 pairs of shades with him.

Dinesh Karthik’s hilarious tweet

On August 28, Sky Sports and fellow commentators, bid adieu to the fantabulous Dinesh Karthik even as the latter also expressed himself stating that he had a wonderful time in England. Karthik covered WTC Final, India-England series for the first three Tests and The Hundred Men’s and Women’s as well and had a blast during his stay in England.

As for his tweet, he cheekily responded to the claims of having 17 suitcases and the picture he posted on Twitter had around only 9-10 of them. In the tweet, he also bid good bye to the UK.

Here’s his tweet:

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik might directly reach the UAE to connect with his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He will have to serve mandatory quarantine period as there was no such ‘bubble’ life in England. After being a hit with a mic in hand, Karthik will be keen on having a blast with the bat in the IPL.
