Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah was all over the news last month. And for the first time, it was not because of his wonderful performances with the ball on the field for India or Mumbai Indians. Fans were drooling over the pictures which were uploaded by him and his newlywed wife, Sanjana Ganesan.

The 27-year-old Bumrah married Sanjana on March 15 in a secret wedding ceremony in Goa. During that time, he missed the last Test and the limited-overs leg against England because of the wedding. After that ceremony, Bumrah returned to action in the IPL 2021 for the Mumbai Indians. On Thursday, he uploaded another picture from the couple’s wedding on the occasion of their first month anniversary.

The fast bowler also wrote an adorable message for Sanjana who is also a cricket presenter. He called her his best friend and expressed his happiness having married to his loved one. He wrote on Twitter, “One month of love, belly laughs, silly jokes, long conversations, and peace. One month of being married to my best friend.”

Sanjana, who is a successful sports presenter with Star Sports, was also back at work during the recent ODI series against England. She is also part of the presenters’ panel of Star Sports for the coverage of IPL 2021. In the past, she was involved in covering multiple cricket tournaments, including IPL and World Cup.

Sanjana also hosted a show for the Kolkata Knight Riders on Star Sports. Interestingly, the couple managed to keep their relationship a secret for a whole time before eventually announcing their marriage.

Talking about Bumrah, the trump card of Mumbai Indians was back and running well during the early stages of the IPL 2021. The pacer bowled a good spell in the first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, finishing with figures for 2 for 26. He also bowled a superb 19th over against KKR in Mumbai’s first victory of the season earlier this week.

Bumrah was Mumbai’s best bowler last season when he picked 27 wickets from 15 with an average of 23.77. He has been one of the biggest stars of the IPL ever since he made his debut for Mumbai in 2013.
