The Pakistan side has produced a poor performance thus far in the ODI series against England. In the first two ODIs, the Pakistan side has failed to score even 200 runs with the willow and looked clueless.

And now, Kamran Akmal has opined that England is playing extremely well because they have not relied on shortcuts like the Pakistan side. Adding that the England cricketers have shown a lot of maturity, Akmal also stated that the performances produced by the England team is there for everyone to witness. He also added that the England team can field two teams now at the same time.

Akmal also stated that the Pakistan side should put in more effort in the final ODI of the series. The 39-year-old wicketkeeper also said that Pakistan should look to win the final ODI so that they can go into the T20I series with confidence.

“They are mentally very strong because they have been playing cricket. They haven’t relied on shortcuts. They haven’t made it to the side based on one or two matches. Everyone’s number of matches and performances are there for everyone to see. The England players showed maturity. This benefited the England side who can play two teams now at one time.

They have the talent and the players to do that. It was bad luck for Pakistan and that is all we can say. They should put in the effort in the last match. They should win the last match so that they have a bit of confidence going into the T20s. What is being done to Pakistan cricket is there for everyone to see,” said Akmal in a YouTube video.

The way England were led by Ben Stokes was outstanding: Kamran Akmal

Kamran Akmal further opined that the way Ben Stokes led the England side was outstanding. Adding that he did not expect this kind of performance from the Pakistan side, Akmal concluded by stating that even though the Pakistan players were more experienced and had played over 400 matches collectively, England was the superior side.

“England performed really well. The way they fielded and the way that they were led by Ben Stokes, who was outstanding. It did not seem like Pakistan would lose the way they did. We didn’t expect this performance. Our players had over 400 matches experience and they were up against a new England team with the collective experience of 108 matches. You see the difference in these cases and when you see the numbers or the on-paper sides,” concluded Akmal.
