South Africa have never lost a T20I series in Asia.

South Africa’s tour of Pakistan winds up on Sunday with the third and final T20I of the series set to be played in Lahore. It is the series decider and one has to credit the visitors for the way they’ve played in the last two T20Is. Rather they would’ve been 2-0 ahead already if they had played Usman Qadir a bit better in the series opener. Nevertheless, Heinrich Klaasen will be delighted that they are still alive in the series.
They have a proud record of not losing a T20I series in Asia to savour and the Proteas will be keen on playing their best cricket on Sunday as well. Dwaine Pretorius was the star for them in the must-win game as he picked up a five-wicket haul and then the batsmen did their job perfectly to level the series.
Pakistan, on the other hand, have a lot of problems and their frailties were exposed yet again in the previous game. They didn’t have a perfect first game as well and it was Mohammad Rizwan‘s ton that had saved the day for them. Babar Azam’s form is still a concern and the skipper will be eager to lead from the front. The middle-order not performing to the expectations is not helping their cause either.
Pitch and Conditions
The surface at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is not at all flat and it has something for the bowlers. It hasn’t been easy for new batsmen to score runs and a similar sort of a track is expected to be on offer for the decider as well. With dew around, the toss will also play a crucial role. The weather is also likely to be pleasant for a cricket match to take place with no rain around.

Probable Top Performers
Babar Azam
Babar Azam has shockingly not scored much in the first two T20Is of the series so far. He got run out in the first game while Pretorius proved to be too good for him in the second. The Pakistan skipper will be itching to get going and there won’t be a better game to regain some form for Babar.
David Miller
David Miller is the most experienced batsman in this South African line-up. After failing in series opener, he looked in some sort of touch in the previous game making sure there were no hiccups in the chase. Miller scored an unbeaten 25 off 19 balls taking his team over the line. This is the perfect game for him to play a match-winning knock and help the team win the series from behind.
