Pakistan Cricket gets a new fan in the name of Commissioner of Metropolitan Police in London

Pakistan Cricket has a staggering fan base because of its history of producing iconic cricketers. Being a cricket crazy country, the country’s fan following does not stay restricted within the border but spreads way beyond it. However, it has been found out the Pakistan cricket has an unexpected fan in the name of Cressida Dick. She is the first female Commissioner of Metropolitan Police in London and revealed herself to be a supporter of Pakistan cricket and legendary all-rounder, Imran Khan. She stated that she had been a fan of the Pakistan cricket team since 1972 after she got the opportunity to meet Imran Khan, who was then set to be the future captain of the team.

“I have supported Pakistan since I was 11 years old when I met Mr Imran Khan,” said Cressida Dick. She went on to say that she used to play cricket during her school and university days as quoted by BBC Asia.

Legendary sprinter Usain Bolt who ran his last 100-meter race recently had also stated that he is a fan of the Pakistan Cricket team. Bolt added that when he was young he used to love watching the Pakistan team take the field. According to Bolt, he started supporting his own country when he grew up. He also revealed that he is a big fan of Pakistan legend Waqar Younis.

Pakistan cricket recently tasted immense success when they won the ICC Champions Trophy this year. They defeated arch-rivals India to ensure their very first Champions Trophy triumph. Captain Sarfraz Khan became the second captain to bring home an ICC trophy home after the legendary Imran Khan did it in 1992 by winning the World Cup.
