'Pakistan is a safe country' - Hasan Ali urges Mushfiqur Rahim to tour Pakistan

Bangladesh cricket team is scheduled to ply and ODI and Test match against Pakistan in their country. Earlier, there were speculations that the Tigers might not travel to the country due to security concerns. However, BCB gave their consent over the same but their top player Mushfiqur Rahim never looked on terms to travel to the Men in Green country. And, now, Hasan Ali, the right-handed fast bowler has requested his compatriot to come and play in Pakistan.

Tigers recently travelled to Pakistan where they played three ODIs and one Test. And, after the conclusion of PSL 2020, they were scheduled to play an ODI and Test match. The visitors’ lost the T20I series by 2-0 whereas they are currently lagging in the Test series by 1-0. But, for the left games, Mushfiqur Rahim said no as he ruled himself out of the team that created a lot of tension among the board.

Hasan Ali makes a special request

Now, Hasan Ali, the Pakistan international has requested the wicketkeeper-batsman Mushafiqur Rahim to come and play in Pakistan. He also added that Carlos Braithwaite was asking him the fact that why the former Bangladesh skipper is not coming to Pakistan. The fast bowler feels that Rahim should come along with his team. Moreover, Carlos Braithwaite also thinks that he should come as Pakistan is a safe country.

“[Carlos] Brathwaite asked me today why Mushfiqur Rahim is not coming to Pakistan. I told him that I am not sure but I do think he should come as his team is also coming here. Brathwaite’s view was that he should come to Pakistan as it’s a safe country,” said Ali during the post-match press conference.,” said Ali.

Hasan Ali also opened up about his side’s victory and stated that he along with other players were happy about their triumph.

“It [rain] is part of the game and even if we played the rest of the overs I would have backed our team to win the game. I think we were in a good position and two of our main players, Banton and Haider, were batting,” he said. “At the end of the day we won and we are really happy about it,” Hasan Ali added as quoted by The Express Tribune.

Hasan Ali is currently plying his trade for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing fifth edition of Pakistan Super League 2020. On Saturday, his side won a close rain-affected game against Islamabad United by seven runs. In that game, he grabbed two important wickets for his team. He grabbed two wickets in that game as he registered bowling figures of 2/36.
