The cricketing world has recently been a witness to the shambolic act of ball tampering by Cameron Bancroft and the Australian cricketers. Subsequently, allegations were hurled at them for marring the reputation of cricket in the country. While David Warner and Steve Smith has been slapped with one-year bans, Cameron Bancroft, who used the yellow sand-paper, was handed a nine-month suspension.

Even Darren Lehmann, the head coach of the Australian team has also decided to step down from his position after the conclusion of the ongoing Test match in Johannesburg. Meanwhile, several cricketers from across the nation have shared their opinions on one of the hottest topics doing the rounds. Hasan Ali, the Pakistan fast bowler, has also shared his thoughts on the matter in a recent press conference. “Look I don’t know how to tamper with the ball and neither have I ever learned to do this,” Hasan remarked.

Ball-tampering- A tactic for Hasan Ali

The Pakistani pacer also iterated the practice as a pretty common move which has been carried forward from generation to generation. “Of course fast-bowlers do that and you can look at history for that. In cricket, this is called tactics and if you are caught then you are accused; in dry conditions, the ball gets scratched itself,” the Pakistani pacer added.

Hasan has been one of most prolific wicket-takers for Pakistan in international cricket. The Windies are scheduled to play three T20 Internationals against Pakistan at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore which starts tomorrow.

Hasan, being one of their gun bowlers, is expected to play a critical role in what is speculated to be an exciting series. He has recently played nine games for the Peshawar Zalmi in the recently concluded third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and churned out 12 wickets.
