Pakistan speedster Rumman Raees reveals his favourite footballer

In an interesting revelation, Pakistan bowling spearhead Rumman Raees has made his favourite footballer known. Raees, who is renowned for his unique wicket celebration, is one of Christiano Ronaldo’s die-hard fan. In a video on social media site Facebook, Rumman revealed that he only watches and plays football because of the Portuguese.

During the interaction, Rumman can also be seen playing FIFA video game with his friends. As soon as he scores a goal he celebrated in Ronaldo’s trademark style. The 26-year-old is enjoying his time off the field at home and making use of it to hone his skills with the play station.

Raees set for a return to cricket

Rumman Raees, who suffered a nasty knee injury during a group match against Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season three says he will be completely fit within three to four weeks.

He has also braced himself to play Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after recovering from his injury. The left-handed seamer, who will represent St Lucia Stars in CPL, was dropped from the national squad for Ireland and England tour. The injuries kept him out from the equation of getting selected for the national side. Rumman will have a good preparatory time before the commencement of the CPL 2018. The CPL is slated to begin on August 8.

Rumman was last seen in action during in the PSL. He had turned up for the Islamabad United outfit but had to bow out of the season midway owing to the injury. He will be eager to get back on the field and make his mark.

The Twitter handle of the St Lucia Stars confirmed the news in an update last week. In the tweet, they expressed their delight with the signing and hailed Rumman Raees as a bowler with a plenty of tricks up his sleeve. They also issued a warning to the batsmen of the opposition teams as banter.
