Pakistan have defeated the visiting South African team in the second consecutive Test of the two-match Test series. With a 95-run win in the second Test, Pakistan have clinched the series 2-0 making the return of Test cricket at home memorable one for their fans.
Pakistan had set a target of 370 runs against South Africa in the fourth innings. They were all-out for a score of 298 runs in their second innings, and had earlier taken a lead of 71 runs after the end of first innings for both the teams. South Africa started well in the chase with their opener Aiden Markram hitting a brilliant century. Markram scored 108 runs off 243 balls with the help of 13 fours and 3 sixes.
South Africa were once on a roll to chase the target with their score reading 241/3. However they lost their last 7 wickets for just 33 runs. Proteas were bowled out for 274 runs in the fourth innings of the match. Hasan Ali was top wicket-taker for Pakistan yet again in the second innings, who took 5 wickets for 60 runs. Hasan had earlier taken a 5-wicket haul in the first innings too. He was awarded the Man of the Match for his match winning bowling figures of 10/114.

18 – Pakistan have won a Test series against South Africa for the first time since the series win in 2003. They had to wait for 18 years to register a series win against South Africa in Test Cricket.

5 – Hasan Ali became the fifth bowler to take a 10-wicket haul in a match in World Test Championship 2019-21.
3 – Hasan Ali registered third best bowling figures for a player in a match in World Test Championship 2019-21. Kiwi Pacer Kyle Jamieson currently holds this record with figures of 11/117 against Pakistan.
15- Hasan Ali became the first bowler from Pakistan in the last 15 years to register a 10-wicket haul in Test cricket.
Aiden Markram’s heroic innings
7 – Aiden Markram (108) became the seventh visiting batsman to hit a century in fourth innings in Pakistan. He registered the fourth highest score by a visiting batsman in Pakistan in the fourth innings. Yuvraj Singh of India is at the top of the list for this record, who played a 122 run knock against Pakistan in Karachi Test, 2006.
Century for Mohammad Rizwan
7 – Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohamad Rizwan hit the first century of his Test Career in second innings. He became the seventh wicketkeeper from Pakistan to hit a century in Test Cricket.
