Match Details:

The 3rd ODI of the three-match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Karachi.

The match starts at 3 PM local time (3:30 PM IST) (10:00 AM GMT). This game will be live on Sony Six and Sony Six HD. Live streaming will be available on Sony LIV.

Preview:

Pakistan were always the favourites to win the second ODI and they did it quite handsomely the other day. Babar Azam was the star once again as he slammed an authoritative century which helped the home team post 305 runs on the board. Fakhar Zaman also batted with maturity and the management will be hoping for a similar kind of show in the last match as well.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do. Dasun Shanaka and Shehan Jayasuriya batted superbly to scare Pakistan at one stage but they had too much to do after Sri Lanka were left reeling at 28/5 thanks to a sensational spell from Usman Shinwari. The visitors’ top order should take up the responsibility to score runs, whether they bat first or second, to have any chance.

Weather Condition/Report:

After washing out the first ODI, the rains have stayed away. The forecast for this game is also clear with the sun expected to be out when the match is scheduled to start. It will turn cloudy later in the evening but it is not expected to rain. The temperature will hover around 30-32 Degrees Celsius according to AccuWeather.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The surface used for the second ODI was a belter to bat on even as the spinners extracted a lot of turn from the surface. The template of batting first after winning the toss should continue and if the same pitch is used for this game, the scores might come down a bit.

Average first innings score: 247 (In 47 ODIs at the venue)

Record of the chasing teams: Won – 23; Lost – 22

Top Picks

Babar Azam continues to be at the top of his game and no wonder, he will be in the most fantasy teams. His form is at the peak at the moment and can score another century for his team. Fakhar Zaman played a matured knock for his half-century the other day and there is a possibility that he might get a big one if Pakistan bats first.

For Sri Lanka, Avishka Fernando, despite his failure in the previous game, remains a player to watch out for. He and Lahiru Thirimanne will have to carry the Sri Lankan batting which collapsed on Monday.
