Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: PCB announces PKR 50 ticket price for the Test series

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has left no stone unturned to attract the crowd for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. It will also mark the return of Test cricket in the country after a long span of a decade. This series will also be the part of ICC Test Championship that got underway after the commencement of 2019 World Cup.

After a tragic shootout that took place over Sri Lanka team in 2009, every country cut down their cricketing ties with Pakistan. And, since then PCB was in their quest to bring back international cricket back into the country. Earlier, this year they got a big breakthrough as they hosted Sri Lanka for playing three-match ODI and T20I series. Now, they are ready to host the same nation again but this time for Test series.

PCB made provision for the spectators 

The series opener of the two-match Test series will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, followed by the 2nd game at National Stadium in Karachi. And, Pakistan Cricket Board announced the prices of tickets on Thursday for the Test series. The sale for the same will begin from December 7 for the 1st Test and December 9 for the 2nd Test.

PCB also informed that the fans can buy tickets online from www.yayvo.com while the offline tickets will be available from the TCS ticket sale centres in Rawalpindi for the series opener. In an effort to attract spectators, the PCB has fixed ticket price for Shoaib Akhtar stand in the first Test at PKR 50.

Moreover, for the 2nd game, the same price is kept for Javed Miandad, Fazal Mahmood, Quaid, Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Iqbal Qasim and Nasimul Ghani stand at National Stadium in Karachi. The Pakistan Cricket Board has also made provision to hand out tickets to college and school students.

“The PCB, in an effort to encourage the fans to be part of the return of Test cricket in Pakistan, have fixed price of Shoaib Akhtar Enclosure at the Pindi Cricket Stadium at Rs50. At the National Stadium, tickets for Javed Miandad, Fazal Mahmood, Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Iqbal Qasim and Nasim-ul-Ghani enclosures will be available and have also been fixed at Rs50,” PCB said in its statement.
