Pakistan would like to seal the deal as they take on West Indies in the third and final T20I of the three-match series. The encounter takes place at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday (December 16). Having won the first two games, the Men in Green already have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and they would be raring to script a clean sweep.

On the other hand, the two-time T20 World Cup champions haven’t been able to trouble Pakistan much as they possess a second-string time. Prominent players like Darren Bravo and skipper Nicholas Pooran need to step up if West Indies aim a different outcome. Both teams might also look to give their youngsters a chance with the game being a dead rubber.

Playing Combinations for PAK vs WI

Pakistan

The hosts don’t really have a need to alter their line-up as they haven’t put a foot wrong. While the likes of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Haider Ali have been among the runs, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr have made the ball talk. However, with the series win already in the bag, the home team might rest Shaheen as the left-arm speedster has been playing continuous cricket lately. Mohammad Hasnain might come in his place.

Predicted XI: Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Babar Azam (c), Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Shaheen Afridi/ Mohammad Hasnain

West Indies

As far as West Indies are concerned, they have too many options in the bench as well. However, they might still consider making some changes in the playing XI. Devon Thomas might come in place of Shamarh Brooks and Alzarri Joseph has chances of replacing Oshane Thomas, who hasn’t been able to impress much.

Predicted XI: Shai Hope, Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran (c & wk), Shamarh Brooks/ Devon Thomas, Rovman Powell, Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, Dominic Drakes, Hayden Walsh, Akeal Hosein, Oshane Thomas/ Alzarri Joseph
