Pakistan is never devoid of talents and one such Paratha maker from the land of fast bowlers Hanan Khan is all set to play cricket for the Pakistan side. The rise of this 19-year-old sensation comes only a few months after another Pakistani, Arshad Khan who is apparently a chaiwala in Pakistan became an instant sensation in the internet bagging modelling contracts with his killer looks.
Hanan Khan, the man in the picture is picked to play for Pakistan’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) XI which is scheduled to play two T20 games against a Malaysian side come January 14 and 15 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The teenager from Pakistan dreams of representing the Pakistan national team one day and his rise to fame will definitely help him to realise his dream one day. His is living his dream by selling parathas in Karachi.
Hanan who is a left-handed batsman admitted that he was pretty excited after his inclusion in the side and wasn’t sure whether the call was true or not. “I suspected it was a prank call so I called them back to make sure that someone’s not messing with me. I am incredibly happy to get this chance,” Hanan was quoted as saying by The Express Tribune.
Hanan also thanked the selectors for showing faith in him and selecting him for the two T20s. “I belong to a region where cricket is not played that much but still the selectors come, watch emerging players and give them chances,” Hanan said.
“I am really thankful to all the people who have supported me, especially the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that has played an important part in promoting emerging players from my native Balochistan. It’s another step and this is how I will reach the national team and represent Pakistan one day,” concluded Hanan.
Hanan was picked by the Pakistan Super League team Quetta Gladiators as a part of their talent hunt.
