Pakistan’s Chacha T20 upset over Shehzad’s rude behaviour: Muhammad Zaman, Pakistan cricket team’s staunch supporter, and the one who is known as Chacha T20 has reportedly demanded an apology from Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad. Zaman has complained that Shehzad misbehaved with him in the hotel lobby where the Pakistan team is staying.
He has intended to protest against Shehzad in the next match against England in Abu Dhabi. According to Muhammad Zaman, he was in the Inter-Continental hotel with his host’s son in the UAE on Friday night.
“We went to the hotel just to have a glimpse of Pakistan cricketers and for a chance to take a picture with them. It is normal routine for Pakistan fans to request the cricketers for pictures.” Zaman told a local newspaper in Abu Dhabi.
He said they were late to reach the hotel in the night at around 10.45 and could only find Shehzad in the lobby. “I requested him for a picture with my friend’s nephew, but he reacted rudely,” Zaman added.
When Muhammad Zaman asked him to show some respect and behave, Shehzad blasted them angrily and told he was a liar and conspirator. “He (Shehzad) also threatened me of serious consequences,” he further added.
He said he was surprised and did not understand Shehzad’s frustration because all players treated him respectfully and this was a strange incident.
“Earlier in the day, some supporters in the ground were mocking at Shehzad and passing comments on him. I interfered and spoke asked them to refrain from showing such behaviour.
“Shehzad was also looking at me at that time and maybe he thought that I was behind those spectators,” Zaman said, adding that maybe he was angry at former PCB chairman Ijaz Butt for his allegations in an interview against him that he was like a servant to Pakistan T20 captain Shahid Afridi and was frustrated enough to attack whoever he was coming across.
Zaman says that he is a die-hard cricket fan and supports Pakistan Cricket Team for the same reason and nothing else. “But instead of appreciating me, I was misbehaved and threatened,” a dejected looking Zaman continued. He said that the management should ask Shehzad to tender an apology or he will stage a protest against him in the second Test at Abu Dhabi.
Muhammad Zaman is a regular during Pakistan’s fixtures and can be easily recognized with his white beard and green kurta with a white cap decorated with a crescent moon.
