2020 is a year where the whole world came to a standstill courtesy of the Covid-19 pandemic and it had its effect on every field, including Cricket. Most of the tours and series that were planned and scheduled had to be shelved or postponed way beyond the planned tenure. But now with things getting to normalcy, cricketing action too is picking up its own pace.

In the month of July 2020, the England team welcomed the West Indies onto their shores for the traditional format of the game. From then on, it’s no looking back for the game of cricket as many more cricketing boards followed strict protocols and safety measures and welcomed teams to play the sport. Not just International tours, but also T20 leagues were played as per the full schedule.

The Men in Green however began their cricketing schedule for the year 2020 on the same shores as that of the West Indies. They landed in England for a full-fledged tour consisting of three-match Test series and as many T20I matches. Pakistan couldn’t come out victorious in Tests but shared the T20I series with the English team at 1-1.

Pakistan is currently in New Zealand where they played against Black Caps for the three-match T20I series and are currently on the verge of completing their tour of NZ with the second match of the two-match Test series. They will be starting 2021 with the second Test and they have a lot of cricket ahead across formats, which also includes their arch-rivals, India for the T20 World Cup and the Asia Cup.
