Team India wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel made a sizzling comeback to the national side. He scored a brisk unbeaten 67 to see India win the Mohali Test against England recently. Earlier in the match, he had scored 42 in the first innings. No doubt that the Gujarat wicket keeper must be a happy man at the moment.

However, the did not seem very pleased while heading to Goa ahead of the fourth Test scheduled to be played at Mumbai. The reason for it was not any team selection conundrum but an unusual one. Parthiv Patel was scheduled to take a flight from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. He had booked his tickets in the Indigo flight. Much to his disappointment, the flight was delayed for 4 hours.

Parthiv Patel did not like the carelessness of the staff as he was not informed about it by anyone. He had to wait for four long hours before he eventually boarded the flight. A very annoyed Parthiv Patel took to micro blogging site Twitter to show his disappointment. He tweeted, “Extremely pathetic of @IndiGo6E to not inform anyone even if ur flight is 4 hours delayed..#ahmedabadtogoa careless staff at amd airport..”

He also posted a picture of the Indigo tag and mocked it. The tag had the caption, “I’m leaving on an Indigo plane”. Patel mockingly added to the caption as he wrote on Twitter, “provided plane decided to leave.”

Parthiv was drafted in the Test team after a gap of 8 years. He was brought in as a replacement for injured Wriddhiman Saha for the 3rd Test. Patel made a good comeback and has managed to retain his place in the side for the fourth Test. Wriddhiman Saha is yet to recover from his injury. Patel was promoted to open the innings with Murali Vijay in his comeback Test and had lived up to the expectations that the team had from him.
