PCB announces schedules for Australia, New Zealand series in the UAE

The twin series will begin a day after the final of the Asia Cup is played in the same venue nation on September 28.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally announced the schedule for the twin home series that Pakistan will play against Australia and New Zealand starting next month. The board came up with a schedule on August 28. While Australia will play two Tests and three T20Is on their tour, New Zealand will three games in all three formats.
All the matches of the two series will be played in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Cricket Stadium since Sharjah Cricket Stadium will be occupied with matches of the Afghan Premier League.

The Australians will kick off their tour with a four-day practice game against the ICC Academy in Dubai from September 29. They will then lock horns with the hosts in the first Test from October 7 in Dubai while the second Test will be played in Abu Dhabi from October 16. The three T20Is will follow the Test series and will be played on October 24, 26 and 28.

The Kiwis will then tour the UAE and their campaign will begin with three ODIs on October 31, November 2 and 4. The three T20Is between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played between November 7 and 11 and the Test series will begin from November 16.

NZ ‘A’ and England Lions tours programme also announced

The PCB also took the opportunity to announce dates for the tours of New Zealand ‘A’ and England Lions. The former will play Pakistan ‘A’ in three T20 matches on October 12, 15 and 17 at the ICC Academy.

They will then play three 50-over matches on October 21, 24 and 26 at Abu Dhabi’s Nursery Oval. Besides, two four-day games will also be played from October 30 and November 6, respectively.

England Lions will take on Pakistan ‘A’ in one four-day game, three T20s and two 50-over games, starting November 18.
