Nagpur is set to host the opening match of the Super 10 stage of the ICC World Twenty20where hosts and hot favorites India will meet potential threat New Zealand. The Indian Cricket Team landed in the Orange City on Sunday morning after the Men in Blue lost the nail-biting warm up match against the Proteas by four runs at the Wankhede on Saturday.
The Indian contingent is staying in the Le Meriden hotel which is in close vicinity of the Vidarbha Cricket Association’s Jamtha stadium. The Indian team were involved in an intense practice session doing excessive throw downs and fielding practice in the presence of Team Director Ravi Shastri and skipper MS Dhoni.
While the team is leaving no stones unturned ahead of the fixture, the hotel too is totally geared up to everything best to support their preparation.

“We have come up with good luck personalised pillows. Each pillow has a face of a member of Team India and are they are kept in their rooms,” Shiv Bose, General Manager of Le Meridien told this correspondent in an exclusive chat on Tuesday.
For the support staff we have kept general pillows,” he added.
The New Zealand team, however, are making themselves comfortable under the hospitality of the other five-star hotel.
Although the hotel authorities have not prepared specific dishes around the players, the diet mostly includes a blend of carbohydrates and soups.
“Due to security aspect, we can’t have a food show for the Indian players,” Bose said.
“There is an upbeat feeling in the hotel. The players are caught up with their schedules. Sometimes they come in groups, otherwise they come alone and go back to their room,” he added.
The 44,900 capacity Jamtha stadium has been sold out. The champions of the inaugural event are in stupendous form in the shortest format, winning their last three series on the trot including the Asia T20. However, the Indian team has to be wary of the Blackcaps considering the poor 0-4 head to head record. A win here will set thing rolling on a positive note but Kane Williamson & Co will definitely want to keep their record going.
