Pictures of Ben Stokes ‘choking’ his wife at event surface online, she clarifies

Ben Stokes and controversy walk hand in hand it seems. England‘s World Cup and Ashes hero was the man of the summer which the country lifting the 50-over title for the first time and then level the prestigious series though they lost the urn at home. It was all possible due to Ben Stokes who also won the Players’ Player of the Year award last week at the Professional Cricketers’ Association Awards.

Stokes has redeemed himself from the lows of life which also saw him going to jail for being involved in an altercation outside the Bristol bar a couple of years ago. During the same period, he got married to the love of his life and a long-time girlfriend Clare. The cricketer also owes a lot of Clare for staying strongly by his side during the toughest times of his life.

However, the images appeared online recently in which Ben Stokes was seen clutching his wife’s neck with his hand at the Roundhouse in Camden where the awards function took place.

What nonsense these people will make up!

Since then, the speculation has been rife up that all is not well between Ben Stokes and his wife Clare. However, the latter has come up with a clarification over the matter and has termed all the reports as utter ‘nonsense’. She also cleared that they squish each other’s faces in order to show affection for each other while also putting up a picture of her grabbing Stokes’ face with her hand.

“Unbelievable what nonsense these people will make up! Me and Ben messing about squishing up each other’s faces cos that’s how we show affection and some pap tries to twist it into a crazy story! And all before we then have a romantic McDonalds 20 mins later! @benstokes38,” she wrote in her tweet. Ben Stokes also quoted her tweet in response and showed his affection towards her as well.

As far as the adorable couple is concerned, they tied the knot in Somerset in October 2017. They also have two children in son Layton who is six years old and daughter Libby who has turned four.
