British journalist Piers Morgan is not a new name for the cricket fans now. Ever since he had a Twitter banter with former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, he has managed to be in the cricket news. Sehwag and Morgan had a very witty and prolonged Twitter war on the social media. They argued on various topics and the fans were entertained for sure.

Now, Piers Morgan has come up in the headlines again. This time for a reason that might please the Indian fans. Morgan took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his awe about the new Indian Test skipper. Morgan was in all praise for Virat Kohli. This happened soon after Kohli absolutely hammered the English attack on the day 1 of the Vizag Test. Kohli smashed his 14th Test ton and his 7th century as captain of the Indian team.

He remained unbeaten on 151 at the end of day’s play. The way he manhandled the English bowlers was commendable. Morgan could only agree to this. In his tweet, he mentioned that his favorite Indian cricketers are Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. Now, with the kind of batting Indian skipper is displaying, he has earned a place right up there with the legendary duo.

He further hailed Kohli’s batting as sublime. Piers Morgan wrote in his tweet, “My 2 favourite Indian batsmen were @sachin_rt & @VVSLaxman281. This guy is right up there with them: @imVkohli. Just sublime. #INDvENG.”

Clearly, Morgan is very sure about who his favorite players are. It will be interesting to see if his good friend, Virender Sehwag responds back to this tweet or not. How about a retweet from Sehwag? That will surely lighten up the things for Morgan’s fans and also the Indian cricket fans.

Meanwhile, India look in a dominating position in the second Test at Vizag. The first Test at Rajkot had ended in a draw after England dominated major part of the match.
