Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian cricketer and the current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in india (BCCI) had a chance of going down the memory lane. The southpaw reminisced his maiden Test century on debut against England at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. Way back in June 1996, Dada, as Ganguly is popularly known, weaved magic at the Home of Cricket in London.

After the Brits put on 344 in their first innings, Ganguly made sure that he helped India to a lead of 185 runs. The left-hander came to bat after the fall of Vikram Rathour’s wicket. Batting at number three, Ganguly notched 131 runs off 310 balls with the help of 20 boundaries. The game was eventually drawn, but Ganguly didn’t get the Player of the Match, that went to Jack Russell.

Remembering the happy times, Ganguly uploaded a picture along Dravid from the clash in 1996. He captioned the picture and wrote, ”Fantastic Memories,” Dravid, who batted at number seven, scored 95 off 267, and was unlucky to miss out on his century.

In the meantime, Yuvraj Singh, who made his debut under Ganguly’s leadership a couple of decades ago, trolled the legendary cricketer. He replied to Ganguly’s post and wrote, “Dada logo to hata lo! Your BCCI President now. Please be professional,”

Yuvraj first came to limelight he scored in the 80s against Australia in Nairobi. From there he didn’t look back and stamped his authority in the shorter formats of the game. Though he couldn’t quite rack up runs in Test cricket, he was a brute force to reckon with in white ball cricket. In 2007, he smashed Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over in a T20I at the Kingsmead in Durban.

He also got the fastest T20 fifty off 12 balls. In 2011, he was adjudged as the Player of the Tournament in the World Cup. A few months ago, he retired from international cricket. From there on, he has played in the Global T20 Canada, the T10 League and recently in the Bushfire Bash cricket appeal match at the Junction Oval in Melbourne.
