Indian skipper Virat Kohli‘s marriage with actress Anushka Sharma has been in the news ever since the couple got together. Officially, however, the couple tied the knot on the 11th of December this year and announced their marriage to the entire world with a tweet.

The Internet was one volcano during after Virat broke the news of their marriage. Fans and celebrities all poured in their wishes for the couple. Hashtags like #VirushkaWedding and #VirushkaKiShadi were in the limelight, and soon also trending across social media platforms.

Brands’ that utilised the chance

Brand managers in this modern era make the best use of any opportunity that knocks their doors and they did not contain themselves from using the platform to come up with an innovative tweet of their own for Virushka. Some of the companies even managed to arrive with a series of funny tweets on the couple’s marriage.

Durex was one of the brands which took advantage of the event, coming up with a subtle yet loud message. Social media platforms were filled with such humorous wishes for the couple, who had been dating for quite some time now. Fevikwik, on the other hand, used their tagline ‘Fixing’ to congratulate the couple with a message saying ‘Rab Ne Fix Kardi Jodi’.

However, it was Amul who won the contest hands down. The Dairy firm is always known for the outside-the-box, and quirky tweets and this one was just like another day for the social media handlers of the firm.

Fevicol wished the couple, with a message ‘Bonded for life’ while Kohli endorsed Wrogn has broken the hearts of millions of girls.

However, the wishes did not end there as OVJ Vasavi Jewellers jewelled a tweet of their own. Another tweet that just swept the Twitterati off the floor was Manyavar. The apparel company utilised their behind-the-scenes footage to stitch a wish of a kind.
