Arguably the most popular Indian sitcom at the moment, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has a massive fan-following. The daily soap, which airs on SAB TV, has been running since 2008 and continues to woo the viewers. India’s rising pace-bowling sensation Chetan Sakariya is also one of the many fans of the popular show and that’s evident in his latest social media activity.
On August 22 (Sunday), Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter account shared a picture of Sakariya holding Indian snacks jalebi and fafda. “Address dedo, @Sakariya55? (Give address Chetan Sakariya),” the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise wrote in the caption. To this, the left-arm pacer came up with an interesting reply that left TMKOC fans amused. “Powder Gully, Gokuldham Society,” he wrote. This tweet made it crystal clear that Sakariya also follows the comic show.
Chetan Sakariya is a Jethalal fan
For the unversed, this address is of the apartment where the characters of the sitcom are residing. Also, jalebi and fafda are favourite snacks of the show’s protagonist Jethalal, played by veteran actor Dilip Joshi. Hence, Sakariya opined that Gokuldham Society is the apt place to deliver the two popular Gujarati food items.
The post went viral in no time as fans of the show were delighted to know that Sakariya also follows the sitcom. As a result, the comment section also got flooded in no time.

Overall, he took seven wickets in as many games before the season got suspended due to the COVID-19 virus. Nevertheless, the fast bowler’s brilliance earned him a maiden Team India call-up for the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka tour last month. In one ODI and a couple of T20Is, the youngster took three wickets. Needless to mention, he would definitely like to extend his phenomenal run in the UAE leg as well.
