Ambati Rayudu not getting selected in the World Cup squad has led to a lot of former cricketers taking a dig at the selectors, especially MSK Prasad. After leading the race of number four for almost a year, Rayudu eventually lost to Vijay Shankar for that position who only came into the frame in January this year thanks to Hardik Pandya’s KWK controversy. While everyone was waiting for Rayudu to comment on the matter, he came up with a sarcastic tweet on Tuesday taking an indirect dig at the chief selector.

MSK Prasad had termed Shankar as a player with three dimensions and that led to him getting selected ahead of Rayudu. The Hyderabad cricketer, on Twitter, came up with a message saying that he ordered a set of ‘3D’ glasses to watch the World Cup. Clearly, the non-selection hasn’t gone down well with Rayudu and he made it clear to everyone with his tweet.

Now, even Pragyan Ojha, who once was India’s leading spinner in Test matches, has come out in support of Ambati Rayudu and has put forth his own case of getting ignored. He also went on to add that this has happened before with some Hyderabadi cricketers while also adding that even he went through a similar situation before. “Curious case of some Hyderabadi cricketers… been in a similar situation… understand the wink,” Ojha wrote while quoting Rayudu’s tweet.

Ojha slams a fan

When Pragyan Ojha was at his peak, the ICC deemed his bowling action as illegal and he had to remodel it. But after that, the left-arm spinner couldn’t make an immediate impact and soon went down the pecking order to lose his place in the Indian team. A fan pointed out his performances after the remodelled action and wrote, “Ojhas action was the reason for his fall. Never the same bowler since his action was remodelled! Not sure what curious are we talking about!”

Pragyan Ojha was not at all pleased with it and slammed the fan saying that he should’ve followed the domestic cricket before commenting on his performances. “Do you really follow domestic cricket? Check my records after the incident. Pity on you for living in fools garden,” Ojha wrote in response.
