Swing bowler Praveen Kumar has been quite good up front with the new ball for Gujarat Lions. He had a good domestic season and a decent enough Indian Premier League (IPL) season thus far.

Kumar recently said that he has been performing consistently over all the formats of the game in the domestic matches and thus hopes of making a comeback to the Indian cricket team. He said – “I have been consistently doing well in all formats in domestic cricket, and I hope I will make it to Team India again one day.”

Praveen Kumar has picked up 7 wickets from 13 matches at an economic rate of 7.66. The 29-year old right-arm seamer also felt that he is still fit enough to play at the highest level. “I am 110 percent fit and bowling well. My duty is to play good cricket, it’s up to the selectors to decide my fate,”

He further added, “I am a fighter and I have always fought it out on my own ever since I started playing.”

Praveen Kumar had a good outing in India’s tour of England in 2011, he picked up five wickets at Lord’s and finished the tour with 15 wickets in his three Test appearances. He played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three seasons of the IPL before the Kings XI Punjab signed him at the IPL Player Auction 2011. From, IPL 2015 PK had featured for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
