The Pakistan Super League is all set to commence tomorrow and the excitement for the league is building up. However, the league is now hit by a bad news ahead of its commencement. Star batsman Chris Lynn has pulled out of the league due to an injury. Chris Lynn was injured in the T20I game against New Zealand today while he was fielding.
Lynn dislocated his shoulder while he tried to dive to his left while fielding. Furthermore, he also didn’t come out to bat in the second innings. He has had shoulder troubles in the past and this injury only makes things worse for him. Lynn had to miss out for quite a while earlier because of the shoulder injury. He was found in severe pain and will be out of action for a few weeks.
Huge blow for the Pakistan Super League
Chris Lynn was signed by the Lahore Qalandars for the third edition of the league. He was expected to be one of their mainstays and the Qalandars would have had lot hopes for him this season. Lynn can turn the head of the game within no time and hits the ball long and hard. He is an absolute destructive player and also is a crowd puller. He keeps the audience entertained with his big hitting prowess.
His participation in the IPL isn’t guaranteed either because of this injury. Cricket Australia confirmed in a statement that the 27-year-old will return to Brisbane and is expected to regain fitness before the start of the Indian Premier League.
“Australia’s Chris Lynn will return to Brisbane for further medical assessment after he suffered yet another shoulder injury in Auckland on Wednesday night,” said Cricket Australia in a statement. “The hard-hitting right-hander has been ruled out of the upcoming Pakistan Super League,” it further read.
