The 2018 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set to get underway. The 2018 edition of the popular T20 league will commence on February 22. As the tournament is approaching, the teams are beefing up their squads and management. In a recent appointment, the Peshawar Zalmi have roped in the services of legendary Pakistani spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.

This is not the first time that Saqlain Mushtaq will be a part of the Zalmi roster in the tournament. He has been associated with the franchise since the very first edition of the tournament. The Peshawar Zalmi recently resigned the legendary spinner as their bowling consultant for the season. The official social media handle of the Peshawar Zalmi took to micro blogging site Twitter to welcome Saqlain Mushtaq on their roster. They referred Mushtaq as the ‘spin maestro’.

Here is how the Peshawar Zalmi welcomed Saqlain Mushtaq:

“Welcome to the Zalmi Family, @Saqlain_Mushtaq! The spin bowling maestro joins us as our spin bowling consultant for upcoming edition of the HBLPSL,” the official social media handle of the Peshawar Zalmi tweeted.

Interestingly, Saqlain Mushtaq has very good experience of being a bowling consultant. He had previously worked with the national side of England in the same capacity. While the Peshawar Zalmi welcomed Saqlain, the Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy was not left far behind either. Sammy, who had recently expressed his plans for PSL 2018, welcomed Saqlain Mushtaq with a separate tweet.

The Peshawar Zalmi will be seen in action on the very first day of the tournament. The defending champions will be taking on the new entrants, the Multan Sultans, in the tournament opener this season.

Darren Sammy’s tweet for Mushtaq:

“Its great to be united again with my bro @saqlain_mushtaq with @peshawarzalmipk for this @thepsl … welcome to the #yellowstorm family brother..” Darren Sammy wrote in his welcome tweet for Saqlain Mushtaq.
