PSL 2019: Kieron Pollard to feature for the Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming season
He has played for the Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings before.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set to get underway on February 14 even as the cricket board (PCB) is trying its best to make the opening ceremony a memorable. The famous rapper Pitbull has been signed up for the same. The teams are preparing themselves for the season ahead while a few changes have been made to the squads due to the players’ unavailability. In one such move, Kieron Pollard has joined Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming edition.
This will be the third PSL team for the Caribbean star as he was represented the Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings previously. Pollard brings a lot of batting and fielding skills to the table and would be a valuable addition to the squad. The Zalmi led by Darren Sammy have always been one of the favourite teams in the tournament and the player of Pollard’s stature will only to add to their popularity.
Franchise confirm the news
Peshawar Zalmi’s Media department confirmed the news on Sunday in the press release. Kieron Pollard himself is excited to play in the PSL and rub the shoulders with the likes of Wahab Riaz, Sammy and Misbah-ul-Haq among many.
“Pakistan Super League’s number 1 franchise in terms of brand value, Peshawar Zalmi’s player Keiron Pollard had a special message for the team and Zalmi fans ahead of the fourth season of PSL 4. The batting all-rounder is known for his economical bowling and hard-hitting batting.
“He expressed happiness on becoming part of Peshawar Zalmi. He said that the team Zalmi has star players like Darren Sammy, Misbah Ul Haq, Wahab Riaz, Liam Dawson & Chris Jordan along with aspiring players like Umaid Asif & Sameen Gul. He told the fans that he will be meeting them soon. He thanked them for his welcome and continued support of PSL 4,” the statement read.
