The remaining edition of PSL 2021 is all set to take place in Abu Dhabi and players have been travelling to make it a successful event, unlike the last time. In the same reference, former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was all set to travel Abu Dhabi with 15 other players but he couldn’t get approval for travelling and had to return back to his hotel. It has been reported that only five players from Quetta Gladiators got to travel via a commercial flight on May 29.

Ahmed is quite irked by the fact and has conveyed his agitation to the PCB. Gladiators’ owner Nadeem Omar has stated that he didn’t like the ineptitude shown by PCB this time around and he didn’t involve in any sort of protest only to save the league’s reputation. The board is yet to announce the schedule for the remaining edition and a limited time period will mean a lot of doubleheaders taking place.

With intense matches happening in a short span, the fitness of players will be tested big time in the scorching heat of the UAE. While players still await the clearance from PCB’s side, the board is trying to arrange charter flights for their players.

PCB comes up with stricter rules for PSL 2021

In the recent while, PCB also cleared the hard quarantine protocols for the players set to take part in the remaining edition of PSL 2021. The first session got cancelled due to the spread of COVID-19 cases across camps. There were major bio bubble breaches reported and eventually the league has to be called off. However, this time around, the board has categorized the breach into three sections to be more strict

The minor and major breach by the players of match officials will result them in getting banned from 2-3 matches and up to 75 percent of fees can be deducted. On the other hand, if someone steps outside the bio bubble, they can be banned from up to four matches and up to 100 percent match fees can be deducted. It will be a thing to see how the remaining edition will roll out.
