Pakistan has been a no-go zone for almost every cricketing nation since the militant attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009. Following this horrific incident, Zimbabwe was the only international cricket team to tour the country. The Pakistanis always loved their cricket and tried really very hard to restore their lost glory. After too many efforts from both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the government, International cricket returned to their nation as the World XI visited Pakistan for three T20Is.
The Pakistan Super League (PSL), their domestic T20 tournament that was surfaced in 2015 was amongst one of the many efforts to bring back international cricket to Pakistan. They hosted the final of PSL 2016 in Lahore and the fans got to witness at least some foreign players performing in their backyard.
CM Murad orders bulletproof vehicles to transport players
However, PCB and the government of Pakistan have been very cautious while arranging the matches in the country and taking very calculative steps with the world watching. All the matches were hosted amidst tight security. Adding to all this, PCB along with Syed Murad Ali – the Chief Minister of Sindh proposed to arrange bulletproof vehicles for the players who will fly into the country for three matches in the knock out stages of the PSL in 2018.

In a meeting with the PCB, the CM along with PCB Director Security and Anti-Corruption Mohammad Azam Khan, Principal Secretary to Sindh Chief Minister Sohail Rajput, IG Sindh A.D. Khowaja, Home Secretary Qazi Shahid Pervaiz, Deputy DG Rangers Brig Nasir, add.
