Quaid-e-Azam Trophy: Finalists kicked out of hotel by management ahead of ultimate clash

Amidst the hype regarding the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final, the finalists were kicked out of the five-star hotel in which they were originally staying. This incident occurred due to the negligence of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The officials as well as the players from both the teams, i.e. the Pakhtunkhwa and Northern, were kicked out by the hotel management, and were out in the streets. As per Geo Super, the PCB had booked the hotel located on club road till December 22. However, further booking for the two finalists wasn’t done in advance.

Th report further stated that the board had informed the hotel management that due to the arrival of a large group, the booking confirmation for December 22 would take place only after the previous booking is cancelled. Post that, there wasn’t any contact between the PCB or the hotel management. Due to this, the relevant department of the PCB perceived that the bookings of the two teams were confirmed. Thus, due to the lack of communication, the players from both teams were out in the streets

Nevertheless, the PCB management did go on to make the necessary arrangements later on, and thus, the arrangements were made for the teams to stay at another hotel. However, due to them shifting to this three-star hotel, the bio-bubble of both sides were compromised. An important point to be noted is the fact that the PCB chairman Ramiz Raja is also staying in the same hotel.

Besides, several of Pakistan’s top stars are participating in the upcoming final. This pink-ball finale is all set to take place on Saturday. Earlier on, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had beaten the Central Punjab by 244 runs at Karachi during the final round match of the trophy.

On the other hand, the Northern have been in sensational form, to say the least. With four wins and four draws in their 10 games so far, the Northern are the table-toppers after the final round matches. Thus, the five-day game between these two sides promises to be a mouth-watering contest.
