Rahane shows mature captaincy, India wins by 4, Zimbabwe v India 1st ODI- Statistical Review: It was the first ODI between Zimbabwe and India at Harare and it was quite a dismal performance from the Indian top order. Most of the batsmen failed to click in. Finally, with the aid of a dynamite partnership between Rayudu and Binny, India managed to pull a total of 255/6 at the end of 50 overs.
Rayudu struck in his second international ODI century, which later proved out to be the match winning one. In reply, Zimbabwe did not enjoy the upper hand until the partnership for the 7th wicket between Chigumbura and Cremer, which contributed 86 runs for the team. However, they did not manage to finish off things as he was dismissed in the 49th over and Zimbabwe fell short of 4 runs to the Indian target at the end of 50 overs.
