It was just another day at the office for the Pakistani T20 outfit, who managed to hammer the Kiwis 3-0 in the most comprehensive way possible. The catalyst of the win was Babar Azam, who yet again chipped in with a stunning contribution with the bat, eventually winning praises from the Pakistani legend Ramiz Raja.

It was a record-breaking outing for the 24-year-old star in the making, who became the quickest in the world to reach 1,000 runs in T20 Internationals. The youngster has been in outrageous form in the last few months, especially in the shortest format. He once again registered a match-winning 79 off 58 balls, drawing praises from all over the world.

Ramiz Raja was full of praises for Babar and also complimented him for his side’s sensational run. The commentator also said in his tweet that doing simple things well is the reason behind his stupendous success in the last few months.

“Babar Azam the quickest in the world to 1000 T20 runs..Take a bow !! His record is a major reason why Pakistan has been dominating the T20 circuit!! His genius is built on doing the simple things well, which could be a difficult thing to pull off for most!” Raja said via his official Twitter handle.

Lackluster Kiwis provide no fight for the hosts

Chasing down a 167-run target, the Blackcaps were off to a shaky start, losing Colin Munro and Colin de Grandhomme early. But skipper Kane Williamson registered a brilliant fifty and added an 83-run stand for the third wicket with Glenn Phillips to keep the scoreboard ticking.

The 13th over of the game was the turning point where Shadab Khan dismissed both Williamson and Phillip in a span of three deliveries and the lower order failed to throw any fight to the strong Pakistani bowling setup. They lost 8 wickets within 23 runs and slumped to a humiliating 43-run defeat. The ODI series between these sides will commence on Wednesday (7th November) in Abu Dhabi.
