Ranji Trophy 2016-17: Round 4, Day 2 Review

On day 2 of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17, round 4 Bengal having scored 205 first bowled out Railways for a paltry 105 and replied strongly posting another 208 runs though they lost 9 wickets. Baroda batsman Deepak Hooda who was batting unbeaten on 190 at the end of day one scored another hundred runs on the day but lost all his partners and was stranded on 293* as the team posted 529 runs in the first innings.

Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir led his batting side from the front and scored a century, he looked good for a bigger score but was eventually dismissed for 147. At stumps on the day they had 351 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets. Here is how the second day of the 4th round panned out.
