Tamil Nadu cruised to the victory by an innings and 164 runs after the collapse of Railways in both the innings.

The sixth round of the ongoing 2019-20 Ranji Trophy kicked off across the length and breadth of the country yesterday. On the second day, Rajasthan cruised to the victory on the second day itself after dismantling Kerala’s batting line-up in both the innings. After restricting Kerala to a meagre total of 90 runs in the first innings, Rajasthan’s bowlers continued their lethal spells in the second innings too. Rajasthan’s SK Sharma wreaked havoc on Kerala batsmen in both the innings as he picked up 11 wickets in the match. After winning by an innings and 96 runs, Rajasthan have amassed seven points to their tally.

Tamil Nadu also cruised to the victory by an innings and 164 runs after the collapse of Railways in both the innings. After Manimaran Siddharth-Ravichandran Ashwin‘s lethal spell in the first innings, R Sai Kishore stepped up in the second innings as he scalped five wickets to guide Tamil Nadu to the triumph. Tamil Nadu’s batting stalwart Abhinav Mukund also hammered a century in the first innings.

In the encounter between Vidarbha and Delhi, the former’s bowlers delivered impressive spells on the second day to restrict Vidarbha to a total of 163 runs. Aditya Thakare steamrolled Delhi’s batting force by scalping seven wickets. Meghalaya also wrecked Manipur batsmen after curbing them to a total of 92 runs in the second innings. Sanjay Yadav and Aditya Singhania, who scalped five and four wickets respectively to steer Meghalaya to the victory.

Meanwhile, Bengal batsmen were in sublime form against Hyderabad as the gathered a massive total of 635 runs on the scoreboard. Manoj Tiwary grabbed the headlines by smashing a triple ton. He scored 303 runs to steer Bengal into a driving position in the match. He was assisted by Shreevats Goswami (95) and Arnab Nandi (65). Saurashtra’s Sheldon Jackson also hogged the limelight by playing a brilliant knock of 186 runs.
