The captain of Saurashtra Jaydev Unadkat is on ‘Cloud-nine’ after finding success in his life in all aspects. The left-arm seamer not only broke a 21-year old record of bagging the most number wickets by a pacer in a single season but also guided the side to Ranji Trophy title victory.
He also recently made it public through his Instagram post about his engagement to Rinny Kantaria. The 28-year old cricketer is quite excited to start new innings in his life with his fiancee Rinny who happens to be an advocate at the Gujurat High Court.
He says to TOI, “My stars are aligned at the moment and I am in a happy zone. I have always believed that everything happens at the right time and this is my time. Ranji Trophy success and getting engaged, life is wonderful.”
Unadkat revealed that it was, of course, an arranged marriage as he told, “My parents had started their search on finding a partner for me last year and finally it was three months ago that things fell in place. We have not zeroed on any dates as of now, but most likely it will happen at the end of this year.”
Cheteshwar Pujara attended the event
He clarified that the marriage isn’t going to be taking place anytime soon. The engagement was held in Rinny’s hometown Junagadh, Gujurat. Though it was a small ceremony with only close family and few friends, Chetestwar Pujara and his wife were a part of it and wished him good luck for his second innings.
Unadkat has been in a good space in his life right now with everything going his way on and off the field. The engagement was an iconic event that did attract a lot of attention. His teammates and well-wishers wished him much happiness.
The Indian pacer will definitely look forward to taking this goodwill into some more brilliant performances on the field. Playing for Rajasthan Royals he is one of the key bowlers on their side.
Jaydev Unadkat posted on his social media account a photograph of him and his fiancee captioned, “6 hours, 2meals and 1 shared mud cake later.”
