Ranveer Singh reacts to the pregnancy announcement made by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

The delightful announcement of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma expecting their first child has sent the internet into a meltdown. The adorable couple took to Instagram to share this good news with their friends and fans on August 27, 2020 (Thursday). The parents-to-be are expecting the birth of their newborn in the month of January next year.

The love story of the Indian skipper and the Bollywood diva is something that has kept the fans hooked over the years. The fairytale love story started back in 2013 when Virat and Anushka, lovingly called as Virushka, exchanged glances on the set of a shampoo commercial. After dating for four years, the couple formally tied the knot in a private ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family in Florence, Italy in December 2017.

Both Anushka and Virat made this big announcement regarding the arrival of their little one through their respective social media handles. The duo had shared a picture where Anushka can be seen flaunting her baby bump while wearing a black and white polka dot dress as she posed with her cricketer beau.

They captioned the picture as, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021”

Ranveer Singh congratulates Virat and Anushka

Within minutes after the couple shared the news on social media, the comment section was flooded with the congratulatory messages for the parents-to-be from the who’s who of the film and cricket industry. Many of their colleagues and acquaintances had extended their warm wishes for this new journey.

Among the many wishes for Virat and Anushka, the comment that attracted the attention of the netizens was made by the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. Reacting to the announcement made by the couple, Ranveer left heart emojis in the comment section of both Virat and Anushka.

Notably, Anushka and Ranveer have worked together in the Band Baaja Baarat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl and Dil Dhadakne Do. The two share a good camaraderie with each other. On the professional front, the Bollywood diva has been on sabbatical from movies since her last film Zero which was released in 2018 and has not made an announcement of any new movie since then.

While Virat is looking forward to leading his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore towards winning its maiden IPL title in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), which is scheduled from September 19 to November 10 across three venues namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
