India recently won the second ODI against Australia by six wickets to draw level in the three-match series. The third ODI on Friday, Saturday 18 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is expected to be an absolute thriller. After electing to bat first after winning the toss, the Aussies racked up 298 for the loss of nine wickets. Shaun Marsh’s knock inspired the hosts to a humungous score.
The left-handed batsman scored 131 runs from 123 balls with 11 boundaries and three sixes. Glenn Maxwell also chipped in with 48 runs to propel the home team’s score. During the run-chase, India tracked the target down with four balls to spare. Virat Kohli notched his 39th ODI century and laid the platform for the run-chase. Jhye Richardson got the 29-year-old’s wicket in the 44th over.
MS Dhoni scored 55 runs in 54 balls and hit a six off Jason Behrendroff to seal the fate of the match. Dinesh Karthik also played a handy knock of 25 from 14 balls. In the meantime, Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan spinner, graced his presence at the Adelaide Oval. The Nangarhar-born took to his Instagram story and a posted a picturesque photo of the renowned venue.

As far as Adelaide is concerned, Rashid is currently associated with the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL). He joined the franchise last year and turned out to be a fulcrum of the club. The Strikers also became the championship, riding on some superlative shows from Rashid.
