A morphed picture of pacer Taskin Ahmed holding a chopped head of Indian skipper MS Dhoni while sounding a war cry set the social media on fire and aggravating off Indian fans greatly. A couple of days back, Bangladeshi cricket fans went overboard in attempting to show their support for their team.

Bangladeshi fans are facing a lot of criticism for ruining the image of the game by committing such degrading act of insulting legendary cricketers like Dhoni.

The news also recently found its way to Team India director Ravi Shastri. A correspondent recently asked Shastri about his reaction to the incident. Shastri looked unaffected and played the incident without giving much importance to it.

He said ”I don’t read newspapers and all. You guys read the papers and do your own assessment and we’ll go and play cricket. I don’t have the habit of reading newspapers during matches. You people read and think about it, our job is to get out and play cricket.”

Bangladesh cricket team has been on an all time high after beating top nations at home regularly and this particular fan must have been swayed by emotions while taking to twitter. There has always been a lot of tension between the fans from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh in the social media platform.

Actually, this is not the first time that Bangladeshi citizens have photoshopped pictures of Indian players and made them viral. After Dhoni’s men lost a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh last year, a local newspaper had published an image of pacer Mustafizur Rahman holding a cutter and Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan and Ravichandran Ashwin standing beneath him with half-shaved heads. The image was captioned, ‘Mustafizur cutter’ which was in tune with the Indians succumbing to cutters and slower deliveries of the left arm pacer.
