The day 4 of the Bengaluru Test saw a dramatic turn around of events as India beat Australia by 75 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin, the number one ranked Test bowler, was the wrecker-in-chief who destroyed the Aussie batting line up with a 6 wicket haul. One of the highlights of the Day-4’s play was Ashwin getting animated with his celebrations. The most notable was the one that he had reserved for Australian pacer Mitchell Starc. The action perspired in the 30th over of the Australian second innings.

A top spinner from Ravichandran Ashwin squared up Starc and the ball went through the bat and the pads to dismantle the stumps. Ashwin was ecstatic in joy as he ran for the celebration. He was seen pointing to his forehead in the celebratory move. Many people looked perplexed at the strange celebration. The reason behind the celebration is bound to amuse many and might even let you startled.

The history goes back to the day-3’s play when Ashwin’s Tamil Nadu teammate Abhinav Mukund was batting. Starc fired in a fast bouncer to Mukund. The southpaw managed to get a top edge and the ball went sailing over the ropes behind the wicket keeper. Starc was then seen pointing to his forehead and rather trying to give Mukund a subtle hint that he is going to fire in another one to Mukund on his head.

Mukund looked calm and opted not to react at that moment. Well, it is more than safe to assume that Ashwin had the revenge taken by imitating the actions of Starc. Ashwin was named the Jana Bankable Player of the Match for his efforts of being one of the chief architects of India’s series-levelling win. The action now moves to Ranchi for the third Test. The teams have a week to regroup before they set their feet for another exciting contest.
