New Zealand’s cancellation of their limited-overs series against Pakistan citing security concerns has not gone down well with several Pakistan cricketers. Many cricketers, ranging from Shaheen Afridi to Shan Masood, to Mohammad Hafeez have stated that Pakistan is a safe nation, and it is disappointing that New Zealand has cancelled its limited-overs assignment against Pakistan in this manner.

And now, former Pakistan cricket legend Shoaib Akhtar too, has reacted to this matter. Akhtar tweeted a picture that showed a fixture of the 2021 T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and New Zealand that is slated to take place on 26th October 2021 and tweeted that this is the place where Pakistan should respond to the Kiwis with their full might.

“Remember the date guys. This is where you respond to them with full strength,” tweeted Shoaib Akhtar. You can see the tweet from Akhtar below.

Shoaib Akhtar is regarded as one of the greatest bowlers to have played for the Pakistan side. Akhtar is the 6th highest wicket-taker for Pakistan in ODIs and has scalped 247 wickets in his ODI career. In Test match cricket, the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ prized out 178 batsmen. In the T20I format of the game, the right arm tearaway pacer picked up 19 wickets. Shoaib Akhtar played his last international match for Pakistan in the year 2011.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam too had expressed his disappointment as well
