With the Test series already gone, Team India will be looking to make a few changes in the final game. They were in with a chance in Southampton and at one stage, were bossing the encounter but lost their way completely eventually losing the match by 60 runs. There have been calls of dropping certain players and it is very much possible that the team management might axe Hardik Pandya.

According to the reports in ESPN Cricinfo, Hanuma Vihari is likely to make his Test debut at the Kennington Oval in London and will replace Pandya who has been under the scanner for his role. Vihari batted in the nets for long alongside Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane with Sanjay Bangar also watching his batting closely. It will be interesting to see if the Andhra Pradesh captain will make it to the playing XI for the last Test match.

Will Shaw make his debut as well?

There have been reports of Prithvi Shaw making a debut as well in the lead up to the game. There is always a lot of excitement around Indi’s team selection and this time it is no different. There will be changes for sure with Ravi Ashwin not bowling in the nets at all, Ravindra Jadeja is set to replace him.

Vihari’s inclusion also makes the sense as the visitors might look to go in with an extra batsman and it seems that Pandya will be dropped following his poor show in Southampton. But nothing can be confirmed as of now as Kohli is known to surprise everyone with his selections more often than not.

The fifth and final Test match between England and India will commence on Friday and India will be keen to end the series and the tour on a high.
